MMEMory:DELete <file>
Deletes a file. To delete a folder, use MMEMory:RDIRectory command.
Parameter Typical return
Any valid file name for <file> (none)
Delete a file from the root directory of the internal flash file system: MMEM:DEL "INT:\MySetup.sta"
– The specific folder must exist and cannot be marked as hidden or system.
– SYSTem:SECurity:IMMediate deletes and sanitizes all files.
MMEMory:LOG[:ENABle] {OFF | ON}
MMEMory:LOG[:ENABle]?
Enables (On) or disables (Off) logging of the scanned memory readings to a USB drive connected to the front panel
USBhost port.
Parameter Typical return
{OFF | ON}
Default: OFF
0 (OFF) or 1 (ON)
Scanned readings are to be logged to the USB drive: MMEM:LOGON
– For short scans, a READ? or MEASURE? query may take some extra times to complete on logging to USB.
– Scanned readings will be saved in non-volatile on the instrument and will not be affected by a Factory Reset (*RST
command) or Instrument Preset (SYSTem:PRESet command).
– When USBdata logging is enabled, readings are saved to files on the USB drive inserted in the front panel USB
host port. When logging to USB, readings will not be restored to the instrument's reading store after a power
cycle, regardless of whether the power-on state recall is enabled or disabled (see MMEMory:STATe:RECall:AUTO
command).
– If you remove the USBdrive during logging, logging will stop but the scan will continue. If you re-attach the USB
drive, it will not cause logging to resume unless you follow the five-step procedure shown below. Otherwise, log-
ging will resume at the next INITiate.
– To replace a USB stick on a system actively logging data to USB:
1.
Press and hold the [Scan/Start] key to stop a scan, "Scan stopped" message will display.
2.
Remove the USB drive from the front panel.
3.
After the old USBdrive is removed, wait for few seconds before inserting the new USB drive.
4.
Press the [Scan/Start] key again to restart scanning and logging to the new USB drive.
– For typical USB drives, there is a file system limit of 999 timestamped folders. If you receive error message "-254,
Media Full" while logging data, check to ensure that you have not hit the limit of 999 timestamped folders for
your instrument. You may receive error -254 even if additional space is available on the drive.
