[SENSe:]CURRent:AC:BANDwidth {<freq> | MIN | MAX | DEF} [, (@<ch_list>)]
[SENSe:]CURRent:AC:BANDwidth? [{(@<ch_list>) | MIN | MAX | DEF}]
Sets the bandwidth for AC current measurements.
The instrument uses three different ACfilters that enable you to either optimize low frequency accuracy or achieve
faster AC settling times following a change in input signal amplitude.
Parameter Typical return
{3 Hz|20 Hz|200 Hz}. Default: 20 Hz. +2.00000000E+01
Configure an AC current measurement. Use the 3 Hz filter bandwidth:
CONF:CURR:AC 1
CURR:AC:BAND 3
–
For the <freq> parameter, specify the lowest frequency that you expect to encounter. Lower bandwidths result in
longer settling delays, as shown:
Input frequency Default settling delay
3 Hz - 300 kHz (Slow) 1.66 s/measurement
20 Hz - 300 kHz (Medium) 0.25 s/measurement
200 Hz - 300 kHz (Fast) 0.025 s/measurement
– This parameter is set to its default value after a Factory Reset (*RST command).
– The settling delay is controlled by ROUTe:CHANnel:DELay command. You can get the default delay with
ROUTe:CHANnel:DELay:AUTO ON command.
[SENSe:]CURRent:{AC|DC}:RANGe:AUTO {OFF | ON} [, (@<ch_list>)]
[SENSe:]CURRent:{AC|DC}:RANGe:AUTO? [(@<ch_list>)]
Enables or disables autoranging for AC and DC current measurements. Autoranging is convenient because the
instrument automatically selects the range for each measurement based on the input signal detected.
Parameters are independent for AC and DC measurements. It will not be shared between ACand DC
measurements.
This command is not supported in DMM Digitize data acquisition mode.
Error -221,"Settings conflict; DMM digitizing mode has been disabled" will be generated when you send the
command to enable autoranging for DC current measurement in DMM Digitize mode.
Parameter Typical return
{OFF | ON}. Default: ON 0 (OFF) or 1 (ON)
