Parameter Typical return
Configure AC current measurements, and turn autorange on:
CONF:CURR:AC
CURR:AC:RANG:AUTOON
– Autorange thresholds:
Down range at: <10% of range
Up range at:>120% of range.
– Selecting a fixed range (see [SENSe:]CURRent:{AC|DC}:RANGe command) disables autoranging.
– This parameter is set to its default value after a Factory Reset (*RST command).
[SENSe:]CURRent:{AC|DC}:RANGe {<range> | MIN | MAX | DEF} [, (@<ch_list>)]
[SENSe:]CURRent:{AC|DC}:RANGe? [{(@<ch_list>) | MIN | MAX | DEF}]
Selects a fixed range for AC and DC current measurements.
Parameter Typical return
<range>:
AC current: {100 μA | 1 mA | 10 mA | 100 mA | 1 A}
DCcurrent: {1 μA | 10 μA | 100 μA | 1 mA | 10 mA | 100 mA | 1 A}
Default: AUTO
+1.00000000E-01
Configure AC current measurements using the 1 A range:
CONF:CURR:AC
CURR:AC:RANG 1
–
Selecting a fixed range ([SENSe:]<function>:RANGe) disables autoranging.
–
If the input signal is greater than can be measured on the specified fixed range, the instrument displays Overload
on front panel and returns "9.9E37" from the remote interface.
– Changing the value of this parameter always changes the measurement resolution. The number of PLCs (NPLC)
stays fixed, and this results in a change of resolution in terms of the units of the measurement. For example, if
you have a measurement with 1 μA resolution on the 100 mA range, changing to the 1 A range results in a res-
olution of 10 μA.
– This parameter is set to its default value after a Factory Reset (*RST command).
