Appendix D
Output On/Off Synchronization
Synchronizing Output Turn-on Delays ........................................ 114
Synchronizing Multiple Mainframes ............................................ 117
Operation ...................................................................................... 118
This appendix discusses output on/off synchronization. This function lets
you accurately synchronize output turn-on sequences by letting you
specify a common delay offset, which serves as a reference point for the
user-programmed turn-on delays.
This same reference point also makes it possible to connect multiple
Keysight N6700-series mainframes together and program accurate turn-
on sequences across multiple mainframes.
There is no need to specify a delay offset when outputs turn off. Outputs
start executing their turn-off delays as soon as an output Off command
is received.
For complete details on the SCPI commands discussed in this appendix,
refer to the N6700 Programmer’s Reference Help file included on the
Keysight N6700 Product Reference CD. This CD-ROM is shipped along
with your instrument.
