Using the Parameter Menu Screens
e second column of Table 2-1 describes how to use the 3401T’s buttons to navigate the menus and
change parameter values.
In addition, the device enables you to rapidly change parameter values by factors of 10, 100, 1000, or
10,000 times the parameter’s step size. For example, suppose that you need to increase a parameter’s
value by 1000 step sizes. Instead of incrementing the value 1000 times, you can increase the value
by pressing a few buttons.
Take the following steps to rapidly change the selected parameter’s value:
1. Press the button until the screen’s upper right corner indicates the factor by which to change
the value. e following table lists the indicators:

• To decrease the value by the specied factor, press the button.
3. If the value needs further adjustment but by a dierent factor, repeat this procedure.
