4.5.1 Combinations of the inputs/outputs (I/Os)
This signal converter is is available in Basic version with fixed outputs or as a Modular I/O with a
flexible I/O configuration and communication within the available options.
Basic version
• Has 1 current output with HART 7, 1 pulse output and 2 status outputs / limit switches.
• The pulse output can be set as status output/limit switch and one of the status outputs as a
co
ntrol input.
Ex i version
• Depending on the task, the device can be configured with various output modules.
• Current outputs can be active or passive.
• Optionally available also with Foundation Fieldbus and Profibus PA
Modular version
• Depending on the task, the device can be configured with various output modules and up to 2
tem
perature inputs and/or communication protocols.
Bus systems
• The device allows intrinsically safe and non intrinsically safe bus interfaces in combination
with ad
ditional modules.
• For connection and operation of bus systems, please note the supplementary manuals
for the
bu
s system.
Ex option
• For hazardous areas, all of the input/output variants with terminal compartment in the Ex d
(
pressure-resistant casing) or Ex e (increased safety) versions can be delivered.
• Please refer to the separate instructions for connection and operation of the Ex-devices.
