What to do if the hand lever on Krone Lawn and Garden Equipment is hard to move due to a blockage?
    • M
      Michael HillJul 29, 2025
If the hand lever is hard to move due to a blockage in the system or a connected bearing, first, check if the conveyor pump is working by loosening the pump outlet and activating the pump. If the pump works, reconnect it. Then, one by one, loosen the threaded input connections on the subdistributors or main distributor (or threaded input connections for single-level systems). The distributor from which lubricant leaks when loosened indicates the fault's source. Retighten the connections. Next, loosen the threaded bearing input connections one by one. The bearing from which lubricant leaks when loosened is the blocked bearing. Clear the blockage on that bearing.

If the hand lever on your Krone Farm Equipment is hard to move, it indicates a blockage in the system or a connected bearing. First, check if the conveyor pump is working by loosening the pump outlet and activating the pump. If the pump works, reconnect the outlet. Then, loosen the threaded input connections on the subdistributors or main distributor (or single-level systems). The distributor from which lubricant leaks when loosened indicates the fault's source. Tighten the connections again and loosen the threaded bearing input connections one by one. Dr. Philip TurnerNov 2, 2025
If no lubricant leaks from the outlets after loosening all outlets of the main distributor and/or subdistributors, the distributor is blocked. Replace the blocked distributor. If you want to clean it, ensure the workplace is clean. Remove all tube end screwed pieces and plunger lock screws. Drive out the plungers with a soft mandrel, keeping track of which plunger belongs in which drill hole. Rinse the distributor body with grease-dissolving agent and blow it out with compressed air, clearing the diagonal channels with a wire or pin. Remove any hardened grease from the plunger lock screws. Assemble the distributor, replacing all copper discs. Before screwing in the tube outlet threaded pieces, pump out the distributor with a hand pump, ensuring the counter pressure doesn't exceed 25 bar. I...

If, after loosening all outlets of the main and sub-distributors, no lubricant leaks, the distributor is blocked. Replace the blocked distributor. If you want to clean it, ensure a clean workplace, remove all tube end screws and plunger lock screws (using a screwdriver and hammer if needed). Drive out the plungers with a soft mandrel (less than 6 mm diameter, plastic if possible), keeping track of each plunger's original location. Rinse the distributor body in grease-dissolving agent and blow it out with compressed air, clearing the 1.5 mm diagonal channels with a wire or pin. Remove any hardened grease from the plunger lock screws. Reassemble the distributor with new copper discs. Before screwing in the tube outlet screws, pump out the distributor with a hand pump, ensuring the counter pr...

How to troubleshoot a blockage in Krone Farm Equipment system or bearing?
    • S
      Shane LindseyNov 17, 2025
To address a blockage in the system or connected bearings of Krone Farm Equipment, especially in manually activated systems where the hand lever is difficult to move, begin by identifying and eliminating the cause of the blockage. First, verify the conveyor pump's functionality by loosening its outlet and activating it. If the pump works, reconnect the outlet, indicating no pump issues. Allow the pump to run until the next blockage or pressure increase. Then, one by one, loosen the threaded input connections on the sub-distributors or main distributor (or threaded input connections for single-level systems). The distributor from which lubricant leaks when the connection is loosened points to the fault's source. Retighten these connections. Next, loosen the threaded bearing input connection...

      William KingNov 22, 2025
To address a blockage in the distributor of Krone Farm Equipment, replace the blocked distributor. If conditions are met, you can attempt cleaning: ensure a clean workspace, remove all tube end screwed pieces, and remove the plunger lock screws (tapping with a hammer if needed). Drive out the plungers with a soft mandrel (less than 6 mm, plastic if possible), carefully noting each plunger's original location to avoid interchanging them. Thoroughly rinse the distributor body in grease-dissolving agent and blow it out with compressed air, paying attention to the 1.5 mm diagonal channels on the threading ends (use a wire or pin to clear them). Rinse and blow out the distributor again. Remove any hardened grease from the plunger lock screws. Reassemble the distributor, replacing all copper dis...
