Installing the Vario Coil system
► Insert the transverse beam between
the grid rails.
ð The square bolts on the bottom
side of the transverse beam are
immersed in the intended re-
cesses in the grid rails.
► Move the retainer bolt on the trans-
verse beam to Position 2 (see "Fig. 8-65:
Locking positions for retainer bolts",
pg.162).

4 Transverse beam
► Slide the transverse beam towards the
front of the vehicle until the retainer
bolts for the transverse beam latch into
place.
► Move the retainer bolts to Position 1
(see "Fig. 8-65: Locking positions for re-
tainer bolts", pg.162).
► Move the retainer bolts for the posts
on the transverse beam to Position 2
(see "Fig. 8-65: Locking positions for re-
tainer bolts", pg.162).
► Insert the posts into the transverse
beams.
ð The posts are resting on the inser-
ted retainer bolts.
