Faults – Causes and Remedy
Possible Cause
Hydraulic hose not connected.
Swathes uneven or too large.
Forward speed too fast.
Machine is not level.
Baffle plate set too low.
Machine set too low at the front end.
Baffle plate yields too far upwards.

Special Safety Instructions
• Maintenance, cleaning and repair work should be done only when the machine is at a
complete standstill. Switch off the motor, remove the ignition key and disconnect the
12 V supply voltage.
• Secure the tractor and round baler against rolling.
• If the tailgate is open, secure it at the shut-off tap to prevent it from falling.
• After completing repairs and maintenance work reattach all protective plates and
protective devices properly.
• Avoid skin contact with oil and grease.
• In case of injuries caused by oils, seek immediate medical assistance.
12.1 General Faults, Causes and Remedy
Remedy
Insert hydraulic hose into the
corresponding linkage.
Separate swathes.
Reduce forward speed. Drive slower
when starting the baling process until the
acquired crop is rotating inside the bale
chamber.
Check the drawbar setting and adjust if
necessary.
Raise the baffle plate.
Raise machine front end, adjust drawbar
height to ensure even transfer from the
pick-up to the channel
Completely remove spring from baffle
plate.
Fault
Cannot lower
pick-up.
Clogs in the intake
area.
If clogging occurs,
stop the vehicle
immediately and
switch off the PTO as
otherwise damage to
the floor conveyor
guides could result.
Remove clogs.
Poor transfer of short
crop from the pick-up
to the blade rotor.
