There are 3 digital inputs (Cal,
Reset and Move) available
through the terminal block
connection.
DIGITAL INPUTS
Activate Cal In for 100 – 200 msec
to calibrate the HSU.
Typically, Cal In is performed with
the standoff distance set to 12 mm.
Activate Move In for 100 – 200
msec to send the lens to the
position specified by the analog
input.
~ Activate Move-In only after
In-Position is active.
~ Hold Move-In active for at least
100msec or until In-Position turns
off.
~ The move is complete after
In-Position turns on. (Lens In).
3.3.3 Industrial Ethernet Connection
The Industrial Ethernet interface
provides extensive control and
monitoring of the FiberCUT
®
2D.
Depending on the control box
model, either EtherNet/IP or
PROFINET communications
protocol is used.
See Appendix E for details on
device configuration and available
data.
3.3.4 Machine Sequence to Move the
Lens to the Desired Location
See Section 3.3.2 for more
details on the inputs and
outputs.
1. Set the Lens-In analog input
voltage to correspond to the
desired lens location.
2. Verify the In-Pos digital output is
active.
3. Activate the Move In digital
input.
4. Wait for the In-Pos digital output
to deactivate.
There is a delay while the
controller acknowledges the
command.
5. Deactivate the Move In digital
input.
6. Wait for In-Pos digital output to
activate.
There is a delay while the
lens moves.
