MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE
Before performing any maintenance procedures on the
LeeBoy Model 400 and 400T Rollers, review Safety in
Section 1.
Tool Hazard! ALWAYS use tools
appropriate for the task at hand and use the correct
sized tool for loosening or tightening screed parts.
Burn Hazard! ALWAYS handle hot
components with heat-resistant gloves.
This section gives the necessary procedures for routine
and general maintenance on the LeeBoy Model 400 and
400T Rollers. Follow all maintenance schedules and
procedures to maintain the machine in top operating
order. The Maintenance Schedule on Page 5-3 lists
the recommended time intervals between maintenance
inspections and lubrication procedures (Pages 5-4 and
5-5).
The “Hour” and “Periodic” time periods list most service
intervals. The maintenance schedule begins with
10-hour (daily) maintenance intervals and continues
through the 1000-hour (annual) maintenance schedule
intervals.
Preventive maintenance on the roller will provide
years of trouble-free operation. Adjustments can
be performed in the eld with ordinary tools. Engine
preventive maintenance, other than oil, air and fuel
lter changes, is not covered in this section. Refer
to the Engine Operator’s Manual for engine service
information.
Anytime the machine has been repainted or the decals
have been removed, damaged, worn and illegible, a new
set of decals should be ordered and re-installed for
safe operation (see Safety Labels in Section 1).
Changing oil and cleaning the LeeBoy
Model 400 and 400T Rollers should only be done in
a designated area where the the oil and chemicals
can be contained. These by-products should
be discarded in accordance with environmental
regulations.
NOTE: When performing any routine maintenance
such as 50, 100, 250, 500 and 1000 hours,
always include previous routine maintenance
hours in the higher hourly schedule.
NOTE: If the machine is operated more than 10
hours per day, follow the “Hour” schedule. If
the roller is operated less than 10 hours per
day, follow the “Periodic” schedules.
