5. If needed, add hydraulic oil at the hydraulic oil
strainer ll cap. (Figure 5-14)
6. Check the hydrualic oil level at the sight gauge to
assure oil level reaches the black ll line. (Figure
5-13)
7. DO NOT overll the tank. Leave approximately one
inch (25mm) of space for expansion of hot oil.

Change Hydraulic Filter
Burn Injury Hazard! Hot hydraulic
oil can burn upon contact with the skin. Change
hydraulic charge lter while system is warm, not hot.
Avoid contact with hot hydraulic oil. Failure to obey
this warning could result in serious injury.
1. Refer to Preparing Machine for Maintenance on
Page 5-6 and park machine.
2. Allow the engine to cool completely.
3. Open the access panel on oor of the operator’s
station to access the hydraulic oil tank.
4. Close the hydraulic oil tank supply line gate valves
located on the hydraulic tank by turning the valve
handles counterclockwise.
DO NOT start machine while the
hydraulic oil tank supply line gate vales are closed.
Starting the engine will damage the hydraulic pump.

5. Turn the hydraulic oil lter counterclockwise to
remove. (Figure 5-15)
6. Clean the mounting surface and remove any loose
lter seals.
7. Install the new lter, turning it clockwise until the seal
contacts the mounting surface. Tighten the lter 1/2
to 3/4 additional turns.

necessary.
Check and Clean Hydraulic Oil
Strainer Fill Cap
Wear eye protection and chemical
resistant gloves when using solvent for cleaning
purposes. Some solvents can cause skin irritation
and eye damage.
1. Remove hydraulic oil tank strainer ll cap (Figure
5-14) by turning counterclockwise and inspect for
damage. Check strainer cap for dirt and clogging.
2. Using solvent, clean the strainer ll cap thoroughly
and dry with compressed air.
3. Check the strainer ll cap for free air ow. Replace if
