After you finish
1. Connect the front operator panel cables to the system board. See

2. Install the top cover. See

3. Complete the parts replacement. See

Heat sink replacement
Follow this procedure to remove and install the heat sink.
Remove the heat sink
Use this information to remove the heat sink. This procedure must be executed by a trained technician.
Attention:
• Read the following section(s) to ensure that you work safely.
–
“Safety” on page iii
– “Installation Guidelines” on page 51
• Power off the server and peripheral devices and disconnect the power cords and all external cables. See
“Power off the server” on page 11.
• If the server is installed in a rack, remove the server from the rack.

Procedure
Step 1. Remove the top cover. See
“Remove the top cover” on page 132.
Step 2. Loosen screw 1 and 2:
a. Partially loosen screw 1.
b. Fully loosen screw 2.
c. Fully loosen screw 1.
