Battery
All versions of a gynaecologic chair are equipped with a backup battery.
This battery makes possible to set the chair in case of a power cut, or
unavailability of supply from the electric power network.
In the case of fully charged battery, 3 display fields lit, with decreasing capacity
the individual fields switch off. Battery capacity reduction below 50% of the total
one is indicated by a beep sound when pushing any button of any controller. It
is necessary to connect the chair plug to the electric power network as to
recharge the battery.
After disconnecting the chair from the electric network the control box
automatically goes to the sleep mode. In this mode the battery condition is not
displayed so as not to come to useless discharge of the battery. The control box
activation is made by pushing any button of the controller.
The backup battery serves for emergency travelling of the chair, a fully charged
battery enables the operation of it for the time of approx. 3 minutes.
Batteries may be exchanged only by service personnel!
Battery replacement by insufficiently trained personnel can lead to
hazards or limit the medical device functionality!
Indication of battery charging mode
Battery charging mode is indicated by a yellow indicator lamp of electric power
supply (see Fig. 1). The battery is part of the medical device control unit and is
charged continuously if connected to electrical power network. When
disconnected from the mains or in the event of power failure, the indicator lamp
switches off. The operation is then possible with backup battery.
If one light indicator of the battery is shining, it is urgent to connect the
chair immediately to the electrical network!
