Equipment identification
Each RET
eval
device has a unique serial number for identification. The serial number can be
seen by choosing Settings, then System on the user interface. The serial number can also be
found on the bottom of the docking station and under the battery, viewable after removing the
battery cover and pivoting the battery away from the device. The serial number may take the
form of RyyMM######, interpreted as follows:
Year manufactured (00-99)
00 = 2000, 01 = 2001, and so on
JR = January
FR = February
MC = March
AI = April
MA = May
JN = June
JL = July
AS = August
SE = September
OE = October
NE = November
DE = December
Production sequence number (5 or 6 digits)
Alternatively, the serial number may take the form R######, interpreted as follows:
