The seng in this eld determines the duraon of the manually triggered push. It can be set to a me between
200 milliseconds and 3 seconds.
Leak-Assist:
This compensates for the dierence between the desired target average pressure and average pressure measured
at the paent. The compensaon ow is limited to ± 5 L/min. In addion, the total ow is limited to a maximum of
15 L/min and a minimum of 3 L/min. In addion, an alarm (Leak-Assist (yellow)) is triggered if the target pressure
is not reached aer 30 s.
If there is a higher-priority alarm (red), this funcon is disconnued. If the alarm ends, the Leak-Assist then starts
automacally.
The funcon is ended either by direct switching o or changing into standby status or another mode.
In addion, the CPAP sengs contain the seng opon for the level of the O
2
ush (see chapter 5.4).
Please note:
The paent’s respiraon causes the CPAP pressure produced in the Medijet® to change, and brief uctuaons in
the CPAP pressure course occur. These are visible on the CPAP graph. This can occur to a greater degree with small
prongs which is why the CPAP alarm thresholds should be set as narrowly as possible.
Use of the Leak-Assist does not replace regular monitoring of the paent interface. This is sll the task of the medical
sta and should be performed regularly.
Warning:
The CPAP mode does not contain any apnea monitoring and no apnea alarm.
5.7 Leak-Assist

at the paent. The compensaon ow is limited to ± 5 L/min. In addion, the total ow is limited to a maximum of

is not reached aer 30 s with maximum compensaon ow.
If there is a higher-priority alarm (red), this funcon is disconnued. If the alarm ends, the Leak-Assist then starts
automacally.
The funcon is ended either by direct switching o or changing into standby status or another mode.

prongs which is why the CPAP alarm thresholds should be set as narrowly as possible.
The use of the Leak-Assist cannot be started if the measured average value is below 2 mbar.
In apnea CPAP mode, the use of the Leak-Assist is paused, while the backup is acvely running and automacally
restarts once the respiratory acvity can be detected.
Aer the emergency program, the Leak-Assist is suppressed for 10 seconds.
Use of the Leak-Assist does not replace regular monitoring of the paent interface. This is sll the task of the medical
sta and should be performed regularly.
Warning:
The CPAP mode does not contain any apnea monitoring and no apnea alarm.
