5.8 Apnea CPAP mode
In apnea CPAP, the basic CPAP of the CPAP mode is complemented by apnea monitoring. The apnea monitoring
system assesses uctuaons in the CPAP pressure course which are caused by the paents respiraon and responds
to phases in which the paent does not breathe by automacally triggered pushes.
In addion to the seng, acon and informaon opons which are present in CPAP mode, such as:
- Flow (chapter 5.3)
- FiO
2
oxygen concentraon (chapter 5.3) and start and disconnuaon of the O
2
ush (chapter 5.4)
- F
insp
addional push ow and manual PUSH (chapter 5.5)
- Alarm sengs (chapter 5.13)
- Trend graphs (chapter 5.14)
there are special sengs for the apnea mode. These apnea sengs can be opened by pressing the p buon in
Figure 5-2, which oers the possibility of changing six parameters. To change a parameter, press the corresponding
buon to select it, turn the dial to the desired seng, and press the dial to conrm your selecon.
