5.14 Trend
The trend display shows the course taken by the values set for each mode. Eight hours are shown per page. Overall
the values since the last device start, however a maximum of values from the past 28 days, can be displayed by
pressing the arrow buons. If, at the me indicated, the medin-NC3® was in a mode in which the value shown
is not available, this me period will be shown as empty in the trend. All trend values, except for the alarms, are
deleted when the device is switched o.
CPAP / FiO

oxygen concentraon set and the average CPAP pressure.

: In Apnea CPAP mode, the course of the respiraon rate (breaths > 1 mbar per minute) and push frequency
(number of pushes per minute) can also be shown. If backup is acvely running, the line is shown in blue.
Rate / I:E: The course of the NIPPV rate as well as the I:E rao (inspiraon: expiraon) can addionally be shown
in NIPPV mode.
Flow / FiO

trend: Both of these trend courses are available in High Flow mode. They show the course of the
oxygen concentraon set and the ow.
USB export: The USB export of the trends contains the readings and sengs and addionally a logle of the
alarms described in chapter 3.4.4.
5.15 Standby
The standby mode can be used if the medin-NC3® is not being used to treat an acute case but should be kept
ready for use. If the device is switched from one of the other modes to this mode, the medin-NC3® stores all the
sengs that have been selected, stops producing a ow and deacvates the alarms. Pressing the End buon takes
the device out of standby mode and causes the medin-NC3® to revert to the previous mode.
If the medin-NC3® is switched during CPAP mode with acvated Leak-Assist into standby mode, the Leak-Assist
needs to be manually restarted aer ending the standby.
Ending the standby and reacvang normal operaon of the medin-NC3® lasts approximately ten seconds.
Warning:
The standby mode can only be used when no paent is aached to the medin-NC3®.
Please note:
In standby mode, no gas ow can be emied from the device. When combining with an acve respiratory gas
humidier, the following points must be borne in mind:
- If no gas ow is issued and if the respiratory gas humidier is connuing to heat, there can be so-
called "hot shots." This describes the brief delivery of overly hot respiratory gas to the paent which
collected in the respiratory gas humidier chamber during me spent in standby mode.
