CPAP low: This alarm monitors the lower threshold of the CPAP pressure. If this value is undershot by the CPAP
average value for a certain amount of me, the CPAP pressure low alarm is triggered aer a delay (see chapter 8.2).
Please note:
Because of the scale, it is possible that the CPAP high and CPAP low alarm thresholds (generally shown as dashed
lines) are not visible on the display (e.g. if the scale is set from 0 to 10 and the value for CPAP high is 13). In this
case, the value of the limit is visible as a number to the upper right next to the graph.
FiO
2
: The FiO
2
seng determines the alarm interval of the oxygen alarm. The limits of this alarm depend on the
target oxygen concentraon and are displayed next to the target oxygen levels. If this value (see chapter 8.2) is
exceeded/undershot, an alarm will be triggered aer a delay. There are two dierent seng opons for this alarm
which must be preset in the service menu by a service technician.
- Automac FiO
2
alarm: Here the FiO
2
limit values are automacally adapted to the new target value
for any change in the target oxygen concentraon.
- Manual FiO
2
alarm: In this case, if there are changes to the target oxygen concentraon, the FiO
2
alarm threshold values are not changed. This adaptaon can only be performed manually by the user
by opening the Alarm seng menu, selecng the buon FiO
2
alarm refresh and conrming this by
pressing the dial. If adapng the alarm thresholds is not possible because they already refer to the
currently set oxygen concentraon, the buon Refresh FiO
2
alarm is dimmed and instead, the buon
to change the alarm interval will be visible.
Push alarm: The push alarm seng can be used to determine how the medin-NC3® informs the user in the event
of an automacally triggered push. The following sengs are available: Informaon through an acousc and visual
signal, informaon only through a visual signal, informaon only through an acousc signal or informaon only
through text on the display. Manual pushes are always displayed as text in the display, independent of this seng.
Audio alarm pause: Using the Audio Alarm Pause funcon, the Audio paused status can be started in which the
acousc alarm signaling is muted for 5 minutes. Aer 5 minutes, the mung ends automacally. The mung can
also be reacvated before the 5 minutes have passed using the Audio Alarm Pause funcon. Alternavely, this can
also be performed by pressing the e buon (Figure 5-1).
Warning:
This seng may only be used while the medin-NC3® is not connected to a paent (e.g. when replacing individual
components of the CPAP system) and the operator must remain by the device all the me that the alarm is o.
Brightness: The brightness seng changes the brightness of the backlighng of the display.
Warning:
If the user alters the brightness sengs, he/she must take account of the specic surroundings and may only change
the sengs to such an extent that the screen content remains visible.
Scale: Using this seng, the scale of the pressure graphs can be changed. The scales 0-10 mbar/cm H
2
O, 0-15 mbar/
cm H
2
O or 0-20 mbar/cm H
2
O are available.
