Displays:
In High Flow mode, informaon on the pressure is displayed to the operator on the top of the screen only if
pressure alarms are acvated. In addion, there is no graph of the pressure course, instead only the visualizaon
of a Nuow® nasal cannula.
5.12 Mode change
Mode selecon can be opened by pressing the m buon in Figure 5-2. In this case the available modes are shown
at the boom of the screen. The user can now select the desired mode by pressing the corresponding buon. The
selected mode now appears on a green background. The mode selected must then be conrmed by pressing the
dial. Only then does the medin-NC3® switch to this mode.
The user can check whether mode switch has taken place correctly by checking the mode display in the top le-
hand area of the screen aer making the switch.
When switching between two modes, the medin-NC3® transfers all the sengs that are available in both modes.
Please note:
If a highest-priority alarm (e.g. high pressure or lack of gas) and the safety mode triggered as a result are acve,
the mode may not be changed. The mode can only be changed once again aer the error has been corrected. A
mode change during the safety mode is only possible if the safety mode was acvated by the Disconnecon alarm.
5.13 Alarm sengs
The alarm sub-menu is available in each medin-NC3® mode. This can be opened by pressing the n buon in
Figure 5-2.
The points described below can be changed aer opening this sub-menu. If two funcons are allocated to a buon,
the operator can press the relevant buon repeatedly to switch between the two funcons. Individual values are
changed by selecng the corresponding parameter (visible thanks to its green background), then using the dial to
change the value and nally conrming the new value by pressing the dial.
CPAP high: This corresponds to the freely selectable upper CPAP pressure alarm. If this value is exceeded by the CPAP
average value for a certain amount of me, the CPAP pressure high alarm is triggered aer a delay (see chapter 8.2).
