- The external rechargeable baery must be replaced as required or every three years at the latest. The
replacement baery must be a rechargeable baery of the same type (can be ordered from medin,
REF 30-150).
- The blower lter (can be ordered from medin, REF 30-203) and the fan lter (can be ordered from
medin under 39-317) must be replaced every year.
- The internal tubes must be replaced as needed or every 3 years at the latest:
• REF 30-206: blue tube, connecon of the high-pressure oxygen inlet with gas mixing unit
• REF 30-207: transparent tube, connecon of gas mixing unit with outlet block
• REF 30-204: blue blower coupling, connecon of blower with gas mixing unit
- The blower holder foam (REF 30-319) must be replaced as needed or every 3 years at the latest
- Dynamic monitoring of lifespan: aer 7000 operang hours, the pneumac unit has reached the end
of its lifespan. Replace the pneumac unit.
If an error is detected during this funcon test and maintenance, the device must not be used or connected to a
paent under any circumstances.
Warning:
The two internal baeries (3V and rechargeable) may only be replaced by the baery types listed above and only by
trained, professional service personnel and in accordance with the instrucons in the service manual.
Aer each maintenance or repair of the medin-NC3®, a complete funcon test must be performed and passed
before this medin-NC3® can be used on a paent once again.
9.3 Repairs
When performing repairs and/or replacing parts, the trained professional service personnel is obligated to report
the cause(s) of the repair to the manufacturer in the form of an error code.

Repairs may only be made to the medin-NC3® by specially trained, professional service personnel in accordance
with the instrucons and warnings in the service manual. Aer each maintenance or repair of the medin-NC3®, a
complete funcon test must be performed and passed before this medin-NC3® can be used on a paent once again.
9.4 Device modicaons
Warning:
The medin-NC3® may not be modied without permission from the manufacturer and subsequent appropriate
examinaons and tesng to guarantee connued safe use.
9.5 Power supply unit (cleaning, maintenance, repairs and modicaons)
Cleaning:
Prior to cleaning, the power supply unit of the medin-NC3® must be disconnected from the mains.
Do not clean with chemical cleaning agents.
