Replacing the wiper
The wiper is consumable.When the display indicates that it is necessary
to replace the wiper, immediately replace the wiper with a new one.
Also, wipe ink sticking to the lower surface of the slider off.

Press the key in the local mode.

Select [WIPER EXCHANGE] by pressing the
keys.

Press the key.
• The carriage moves onto the platen.

Open the front cover then remove the
wiper.
• Pull out the wiper by holding the projections at
both ends.

Insert a new wiper.
• Install the wiper by holding the projections at both
ends.

Close the front cover then
press the key.
• After performing the initial operation, the machine
returns to LOCAL mode.
• The wiper to be newly installed is available as an option. Order it from your dealer or a sales
office of MIMAKI.
• Do not select [WIPER EXCHANGE] at any time other than when the wiper is to be
replaced.Once it is selected, the number of wiper operations that is counted in the machine
will be reset.
