Chapter 5 Troubleshooting
Warning / Error Messages
If some trouble occurs, the buzzer sounds and the display shows a corresponding error message.
Take an appropriate remedy for the displayed error.

INVAILD OPERATION
:MOTOR POWER OFF
The motor is off. (For example, after the
cover is opened.)
• Return to LOCAL and make sure that the
initialization operation is completed, and
then execute the function.
INVAILD OPERATION
INK ERROR
An ink error has occurred.
• Replace the IC chip with a new one, and
then execute the function.
INVAILD OPERATION
COVER OPEN
The cover is open.
• Close the cover, and then execute the
function.
INVAILD OPERATION
DATA REMAIN
Data has been received.
• Clear the data, and then execute the
function.
Message Cause Solution
WRONG INK IC The IC chip cannot be read normally.
• Check if the IC chip is inserted properly.
• Reinsert the IC chip properly.
• Turn off the power button to the machine
and turn it on after a while.
• If the same error message appears,
contact our service desk or your local
distributor to call for service.
INK TYPE
The types of the installed ink bottle and the
IC chip are different.
• Set the correct ink type of IC chip.
INK COLOR A wrong color of IC chip is mounted. • Set the correct ink color of IC chip.
NO INK IC No IC chip (IC chip is not mounted.)
• Set an IC chip.
• Check if the IC chip is inserted properly.
• Turn off the power button to the machine
and turn it on after a while.
• If the same error message appears,
contact our service desk or your local
distributor to call for service.
INK END "INK END" (no ink remains in the bottle) • Replace to the new ink bottle.
INK NEAR END
"INK NEAR END" (very little ink remains in
the bottle)
• The ink will run out shortly. Be careful.
Expiration
The expiration date of an ink bottle has
passed.(Available)
• The expiration date of ink is near. Be
careful and use the ink as quickly as
possible. Available until the month after
next.
Expiration:1MONTH
The expiration date of an ink bottle has
passed. (One month passed since the
expiration date. / Available)
• The expiration date of ink is near. Be
careful and use the ink as quickly as
possible. Available until the next month.
Expiration:2MONTH
The expiration date of an ink bottle has
passed.（Two months passed since the
expiration date. /Usage prohibited）
• Replace to the new ink bottle.
