Clean the cap rubber.
• Wipe off the ink sticking to the cap rubber with a
cleaning swab dipped in maintenance solution for
maintenance.
• Wipe off so that maintenance solution for
maintenance will not remain.

Press the key after the cleaning.

Close the maintenance cover then press
the key.
• After its initial operation, the machine returns to
step1.
Cleaning the mist filter

Press the
(MENU)
in LOCAL.

Press to select “
MAINTENANCE
”,
and press the key.
• MAINTENANCE MENU will be displayed.

Press the key.
• “STATION” will be selected.

Press the key.
• “CARRIGE OUT” will be selected and the carriage
will move.

Open the left maintenance cover.

Remove the mist filter.
• Mist filters are located in two places.
• To remove the mist filter, pull the knob to the front
while pushing the hook in the direction indicated
by the arrow.

Clean the filter.
• Remove the filter, and remove the stain by holding
paper towel or the like.
• Wipe off any stain adhering to the filter case.

Set the mist filter at the original position.

Close the maintenance cover, and press
the key.
• After its initial operation, the machine returns to
LOCAL.
• Wipe off so that no ink or cleaning solution
remains on the rim of the cap rubber.If ink
remains, nozzle missing or mixed color may occur.
• If the stain strongly attached to the filter, such as
the liquefaction of the ink attached to the filter,
please replace the filter (SPC-0819). ( P.4-17)
