6.23.5 Insert
Insert is a specialized protocol event within iWorks and iWorks OB. It assists with the workflow for
documenting and measuring common pathological (disease) states (i.e. Mass, Cyst, Stenosis,
Thrombus) that occurs outside a routine, normal examination.
1. Select [Insert] to enter the status.
2. Select the necessary protocol and the system adds the protocol events to the current protocol.
3. Perform measurements or add comments/body marks to the image if necessary.
6.24 Smart Bladder
NOTE:
Smart Bladder is available in Single/Dual B imaging mode.
This function is used to measure the volume of the urine in the bladder.
6.24.1 Basic Procedure
Perform the following procedure:
1. Select an appropriate probe and exam mode.
2. Scan and obtain the transverse section image of the bladder.
3. Tap [Freeze] to freeze the image and tap [Smart] > [Smart Bladder] in the measurement menu.
The d1 and d2 diameters (perpendicular to each other by default) are recognized by the system.
4. Tap [Accept Result] to save the result.
Or, if the result is not satisfactory, modify the length and the position of the end points of
diameters d1 and d2:
a. Move the current activated point to the desired position, and tap to enable the ends of the
diameters to adjust the other points as required.
b. Tap the arrow to fine-tune the cursor position.
c. Tap [Accept Result] to save the result.
5. Tap [Freeze] to unfreeze the image.
6. Scan and obtain the longitudinal section image of the bladder.
7. Tap [Freeze] to freeze the image and tap [Smart] > [Smart Bladder], the d3 diameter and the
volume (vol) are recognized by the system automatically.
8. Tap [Accept Result] to save the result.
Or, if the result is not satisfactory, modify the length and the position of the end points of
diameter d3:
a. Move the current activated point to the desired position, and tap to exchange among the
ends of the diameters to adjust the other points as required.
b. Tap the arrows to fine-tune the cursor position.
c. Tap [Accept Result] to save the result.
The measurement results will be displayed in the results window.
