NOTE
As required by the relevant rules and regulations, carbon dioxide concentration
should be monitored when the equipment is used on the patient. If your ventilator
is not configured with such monitoring function, use a monitor which complies
with the relevant international rules and regulations for carbon dioxide
concentration monitoring.

cannot be measured in the aerosolized medicament environment. CO
2
module
sampling and monitoring are disabled when the nebulizer is activated.
7.2 Use a Sidestream CO
2
Module
NOTE
This section is only applicable to the ventilator configured with sidestream CO
2
module.
7.2.1 Prepare to Measure CO
2
1. Attach the water trap to the water trap fixer and then connect the CO
2
components as
shown below.
2. By default, the CO
2
module is in measure mode. When the CO
2
module is connected
(CO
2
sensor monitoring is set to ON), the [CO
2
Startup] message is displayed on the
screen.

is released into the room.
