Introduction Continuous Cardiac Output (CCO) & Continuous Hemodynamics (Optional)
1 - 2 Addendum to V Series Operating Instructions
1.1 Introduction
This chapter describes how to obtain Continuous Cardiac Output (CCO) and Continuous
Hemodynamic values from the Edwards Vigilance, Vigilance II, Vigileo, and EV1000 monitors; and how
to monitor and configure the alarm limits of the monitors. The Continuous Hemodynamic values are
calculated from the CCO values.
Patient Sizes
Intended patient types: Adult and Pediatric.
VDI Module Connector
The VPS module does not include the CCO parameter. The CCO parameter is available through the
serial port of a separate module called the V Device Integrator (VDI) (as shown in FIGURE 1-1).

Display Setup
To see the CCO and Hemo values, CCO and Hemo tiles must be configured to display on the Main
Screen. Refer to "Display Options Dialog" on page 3-2 in the V Series Operating Instructions for
additional information.
1.2 CCO/Hemo Configuration
The CCO dialog (as shown in FIGURE 1-2) contains an Alarms tab and a Setup tab.
The Hemo dialog (FIGURE 1-3) contains a Parameters, Alarms and Setup tab.
A description of each tab follows.
1.2.1 Navigating to the CCO Dialog
• Select the CCO or Hemo digital tile.
OR
