Water temperature gauge

The water temperature gauge indicates
the engine
coolant temperature when
the ignition switch is at the "ON" posi-
tion. If the
indication needle enters the
red zone
while the engine is running, it
probably indicates that the
engine is
overheated.
Immediately park your vehi-
cle in a safe place and make the neces-
sary corrections. (Refer to "Engine Over-
heating" on page
268 .)
While driving, care should always be
taken
to maintain the normal operating
temperature.
