Actuating the digital inputs
The DV6 has eight digital inputs, which are connected internally
with terminal PLC. By default, power is supplied through the
internal 24 V supply. For this purpose, terminals PLC and CM1 are
connected with a jumper. If the digital inputs are to be supplied
from an external source, remove this jumper.
The digital inputs can be operated both with positive (default
setting) and with negative logic. To set it to negative logic, remove
the jumper between terminals PLC and CM1 and connect termi-
nals PLC and P24 with this jumper. If you are using an external
power supply, you can connect the negative pole (positive logic) or
the positive pole (negative logic) with terminal PLC.
The figure below shows a sample protective circuit for the control
signal terminals
