6. When Completing the Found New Hardware Wizard window
appears, click Finish to complete the driver installation. See
Figure 2-48.

7. If this is the first time connecting your StakMax, you must now
align the StakMax gripper. See Aligning the StakMax Gripper on
page 58.
Manual Windows XP StakMax Driver Installation
If the automatic driver installation fails, you can manually locate
and install the driver.
To manually install the StakMax driver in Windows XP
1. After installing the SoftMax Pro Software, turn on the StakMax
microplate handler and connect the USB cable from the
instrument to the computer.
Note: In the event that you need to find the driver files, the
StakMax.inf and StakMax64.inf driver files are located in the
C:\Program Files\Molecular Devices\SoftMaxPro 6.1 folder.
