Troubleshooting
Error Messages
The following error messages can appear in the Log View frame in the
StakMax Software window.

sensor/flag problem
likely source.
Press the
Power/Reset button.
201 Error: Call Molecular

not available,
apparently not used
in code.

202 Error: A problem
occurred during a
motion.
Stall occurred during
motion, encoder and
step counts exceeded
maximum threshold.
Check for object
blocking movement
and then re-align.
203 Error: A problem
occurred with the X
axis.
X Axis motion did not
cause state change
on edge detect switch
—poorly gripped
plate, plate not
present.
Check to make sure
plate is properly
gripped and then re-
align. If error
persists, call
Molecular Devices
Technical Support +1-

204 Error: A problem was
encountered during
Reset.
Can't move axis if it
hasn't been homed.
Press the
Power/Reset button.
205 Error: A problem
occurred during a
motion.
Can't move axis if it's
already in motion.
Press the
Power/Reset button.
206 Error: A Problem
occurred with the
EPROM.
