Cause: While the Variable or Intermittent therapy is in progress, a lower number of
doses to be delivered is entered than the number already infused.
Resolution: Wait until current therapy in progress is complete, or pause pump and,
using the 'REPEAT Rx” function, modify the number of doses.
Note: Selecting to repeat the therapy in progress will terminate the current
therapy.
LCD Display: ***ALERT *** NO BOLUS DOSE DEFINED
Alert: Unable to enter bolus interval or # of bolus/hr because no bolus value has
been programmed.
Cause: Entry of a value other than zero for the Bolus Interval or “#Bolus per hour”
field when no bolus value has been programmed.
Resolution: Enter bolus value before entering bolus interval or # of boluses/hr.
LCD Display: ***ALERT *** NO KEYPAD ACTIVITY
Alert: No Keypad Activity.
Cause: The pump has been displaying a non-running screen for two minutes without
any keys being pressed. The alert will recur every 2 minutes as long as there
are no key presses.
Resolution: Complete the activity for the displayed menu. The pump may also be turned
off, however, all programming that was not complete will be discarded.
If the pump was running and the Options menu displayed when the alert
occurred, the run screen for the therapy will be displayed when the alert is
cleared. Any changes to the Options menu are discarded and will have to be
re-entered.
LCD Display: ***ALERT *** NO THERAPY ENABLED
Alert: No Therapy Enabled.
Cause: Attempting to accept the Enable Therapy menu with all therapies set to
“OFF.” At least one therapy must be enabled or “ON” for menu to be
accepted.
Resolution: Enable the therapy or therapies that are to be active for the pump.
LCD Display: ***ALERT *** NOT ALLOWED, DOSE IN PROGRESS
Alert: Change is not allowed while a dose is in progress.
Cause: Modification to the current field is not allowed while the dose is in progress.
Resolution: Wait until the dose in progress completes before modifying field.
LCD Display: ***ALERT *** NOT in PCA. NO BOLUS ALLOWED
Alert: Bolus requested when therapy is not PCA.
Cause: Remote Bolus button or BOLUS key is pressed when not in PCA therapy.
