SECTION 3
21
BP
F3
Select BP or F3 to enter a manual BP measurement or request an automatic BP measurement from the optional
Tango+ interface. When a value is entered, background display will briefly turn yellow and a beep will sound. BP
values are maintained on the display along with a timestamp and the stage in which the BP was acquired. Update
BP through a manual entry or with automatically-programmed input from an automatic, non-invasive BP device.
The user can edit a BP measurement by moving the mouse over the BP value located on the right side of the display
and depressing the left mouse key. The BP value appears at the base of the display allowing entry of the edited
value. To accept the current value, allow the display to clear automatically (5 seconds) or press OK.
NOTE: The values for a new BP measurement should be entered using the BP or F3 key only. Users may
edit the existing value for the last BP measurement displayed by placing the cursor in the BP display field,
clicking the right mouse key, and changing the value. When BP values are edited, the existing values for
the measurement are erased and overwritten in the system and summary reports.
NOTE: When using a 19” display, editing the BP value requires a “free mouse” setting (see Section 5).
EVENT
F4
Select EVENT or F4 to display an Event pop-up window. Select an event name from the drop-down menu and
click OK to generate a 12-lead ECG. X-Scribe will document the event name on the ECG and hold the event
and the 12-lead ECG in memory, reproducing it in the summary page, final report, and minute-by-minute average
QRS final reports. Interpretation is available in Pre-exercise phase only and can be selected during supine or
Mason-Likar ECG acquisition.
NOTE: X-Scribe automatically detects an arrhythmia event. It is stored, can be displayed on trends
display, and printed if Arrhythmia Printouts is enabled in the Softkey pop-up menu.
RPE
F5
Select RPE or F5 to define the patient’s rate of perceived exertion level. Use either of two, user-selectable scales.
The displayed pop-up list begins with Nothing and ends with Maximal, with various grades of effort in between.
Select the specific rating to generate a 12-lead ECG with the selected statement appended to it.
SOFTKEY
F6
Select SOFTKEY or F6 to define/select various soft key options. Options for Gain, AC Filter, Source Consistency
Filter, 40 Hz Filter, 50 mm/sec Display Sweep Speed, ECG Print Speed, Continuous Print Speed, Sync Lead, and
Arrhythmia Printouts will appear on the Softkey pop-up window. Click OK to save changes.
NOTE: Double click anywhere in the gray shaded area of the pop-up window to demonstrate Mortara’s
paper-like display; double click again to switch this demonstration tool off. Changes in waveform will be
evident on the display and printout.
Use the drop-down menu to choose the amount of Gain or amplitude for the on-screen ECG display and
12-lead printout.
NOTE: X-Scribe prints continuous rhythm strips at 10 mm/mV regardless of gain setting.
See Section 4 for defining AC Filter, Source Consistency Filter, and 40 Hz Filter.
Select 50 mm/sec to change the sweep speed from the default 25 mm/sec to 50 mm/sec. This does not affect
printout speed.
