METs or ST/HR Index or Double Product (DP)
Displays the estimated metabolic equivalents (METs). Calculation updates every 10 seconds throughout the first
two minutes of each stage. At the end of the second minute, maximum METs should be obtained and the value will
be maintained until stage completion. At the beginning of the next stage, a linear progression of METs calculations
will begin to the completion of the first two minutes of the next stage.
Or,
Calculates and displays the ST/HR index value in micro-V/bpm.
NOTE: ST/HR index value displays only if X-Scribe detects a change in HR by an increase of greater than
10% and any ST depression greater than 100 µV.
Or,
Calculates and displays current Double Product value (systolic BP x HR) once BP is manually or automatically
entered. Value updates dynamically when next BP is acquired and is maintained on display along with timestamp
as to when Double Product was last calculated.
Functions Keys
START EXE
F1
Displays 4 different labels during the stress test: Begin, Start EXE, Recovery, End
Begin or F1 starts the Pre-exercise phase. Select a pre-registered patient or add patient demographics. The pre-
exercise clock and Learn process starts at this time.
Initiate Exercise phase by selecting Start EXE or F1.
The total exercise clock replaces the pre-exercise clock and starts counting from 00:00.
A stage clock appears next to the total exercise clock and starts counting from 00:00. A stage number is
also displayed.
If a treadmill or ergometer is turned on, the workload as defined by the protocol or manual setting will
display in the upper central portion of the screen.
Pre-exercise reference data is superimposed on the current data for each of the 12 leads and the expanded
average Auto Compare complex. As HR increases and/or morphological changes occur, there is a
separation of color: black is current data; green is reference data used for comparative analysis.
Label changes to Recovery.
Recovery or F1 starts the Recovery phase. The Recovery phase can be programmed with up to 10 stages.
ECG automatically prints. A printout will always generate when going from Exercise to Recovery phase
regardless of settings.
Total exercise time freezes.
Stage timer is replaced with a recovery time clock.
Treadmill or ergometer returns to workload specified in protocol or manual setting.
Label changes to End.
