RF Scan (wireless option only)
To reduce the amount of noise or interference that can be induced while using the wireless option, perform a RF
scan. Users must first power off the digital transmitter and then click RF Scan. X-Scribe will scan all channels
and display a bar graph showing the RF activity found on each channel. Display values for each antenna, or select
Best (using both antennas). Identify which channel has the lowest RF activity (smallest graphical bar) and set that
channel on both the digital transmitter and the X- Scribe. To stop the RF scan click Stop RF Scan. Manually
clear the display by clicking on Clear.
User Profiles
User profiles define test parameters including specifications for the equipment, exercise protocol, leads, display,
events, report settings, and printouts. You can select a specific profile to use for the next Stress test. This profile
remains selected until you select another profile or until you exit the X-Scribe. When you start the X-Scribe again,
the Startup Profile is loaded. Users can use an established profile as a template or override individual settings for a
particular test. Overrides apply only to the current test; settings are reset to those specified in the profile when the
user exits X-Scribe. Specify settings for one or more user profiles in the User Profile configuration window. Click
Settings on the X-Scribe main menu to access the System Configuration page, and then select the User Profile
tab. When all options have been set as desired, select Save Profile. Cancel without saving the new profile at any
time by selecting Exit.
Profile Name — Use the drop-down menu to select a profile to view or edit.
Set as Startup Profile — Sets selected profile as the Startup profile each time X-Scribe is started.
Set as Current Profile — Sets selected profile to be used for current test only.
Save Profile — Saves changes made to a profile.
Delete Profile — Permanently deletes selected profile.
Create a New Profile — Adds an additional profile. Creating a new profile requires the user to complete
fields on the 6 tabs: Exercise, Leads & Process, Display, Printout, Rhythm Events, and
Miscellaneous.
Type a name for the new profile.
Press Tab to move to the first tab, or click Exercise.
TIP: Do NOT click OK or Done. Click OK and the new profile is created immediately, using defaults
for any fields not yet completed requiring the user to modify the new profile to finish entering the
specifications. Click Done and the new profile is not saved.
