enteraninvalidnumber,itashesredandabadbonksoundisplayed.Inthiscase,tap<Delandcorrect
thenumber.Everytwonumbersenteredforthekeyrepresentabyteofdatathatmusthaveodd-parity
forDESkeys.Fornon-DESkeys:Encryptionkeyvalidityischeckedonlyafteryouenteredtheentire
keyandtappedDone.
8Onceyouhaveenteredthekey,tapDonetoconrm.
Stepresult:Thekeyhasbeenmodiedandyoureturntothelistofkeys.
9TapDonetoreturntotheKVLmainscreen.
3.4DeletingEncryptionKeys
YoucaneraseanEncryptionKey(TEKorKEK)storedinaspecicCKRlocationintheKVLmemory.Deleting
permanentlyerasestheEncryptionKeycurrentlystoredinthelocation.Thelocationisthenconsideredtobe
undenedandmaybeusedtoholdanotherEncryptionKey.
