Inadditiontoloadingkeysintotargetdevices,theKVLcanalsoload(share)itskeystoanotherKVLofthe
sameordifferentmodel.
Thefollowingsharingfunctionsaresupported:
•Sharingasinglekey-ThesourceKVLcanshareaselectedkeywithanotherKVL.
•Sharingakeygroup-ThesourceKVLcanshareitskeygroups(andthekeysassociatedwiththesekey
groups)withanotherKVL.
•Sharingallkeysandallkeygroups-ThesourceKVLcanshareallofitskeys(includingTrafckeys,
Shadowkeys,macros,andindexes)withanotherKVL.
Thefollowingrulesapplytosharing:
•SharingmustbeturnedONinboththesourceandtargetKVL.See2.1.3TurningSharingOn/Off,page2-3.
•ThetargetKVLmustbeonitsmainscreen.
•SharingcannotbeperformedbetweenaKVLinASNmodeandaKVLinASTRO
®

•Onlykeydataandkeygroupsareshared.KVLcongurationsettings,theUKEKforeachalgorithm,and
logrecordsforthetargetKVLremainunchanged.
•InordertosharesinglekeysorkeygroupsthatcontainDVI-XLkeys,theSystemKeysofbothKVLs
mustmatch.
6.1SharingaSingleKey
Prerequisites:
Inordertoshareaselectedkey,thetargetKVLmustsupportthealgorithmofthekeybeingshared.Ifyouwantto
shareaDVI-XLkey,theSystemKeysinbothKVLsmustmatchforthesharingtobesuccessful.
