Prerequisites:
Acommunicationsprogram,suchasMicrosoftHyperTerminal,mustberunningonthePCinordertoexport
logrecords.
ProcedureSteps
1ConnectanappropriatecablebetweentheKVLDB9Port(RS-232)andaCOMportonthePC.Dependingon
thecabletype,youmayneedtouseagenderchanger.
EnsurethatthebaudratesetupintheKVLmatchesthebaudrateinthecommunicationsprogram.
2LaunchacommunicationsprogramonthePC(suchasMicrosoftHyperTerminalorequivalent).Setupthe
programasfollows:
•Noparity
•8bits
•1stopbit
•Translatelinefeeds<LF>toCarriageReturnandLineFeed<CR><LF>
•80characterwidth
3OntheKVLmainscreen,selectSettings→Operationslog→Print→PrintNow>.
Stepresult:Aprogressanimationappears,indicatingthatthelogrecordsarebeingexportedtothePC.When
thelogrecordshavebeenexportedsuccessfully,youreturntothelistoflogrecords.
4TapDoneontheconsecutivescreenstoreturntotheKVLmainscreen.
