Click Async Setting under Monitor to show the run-time settings for the serial port.
Change Password
Input the “Old password” and “New password” to change the password. Leave the password boxes blank to
erase the password. If the password is erased, then NPort 5100A will not have password protection.
ATTENTION
If you forget
the password, the ONLY way to configure the NPort 5100A is by using the Reset button on the
NPort 5100A’s casing to “Load Factory Default.”
Remember to export the configuration file when you finish the configuration. By using the Import function your
conf
iguration can be re-loaded into the NPort 5100A after using “Load Factory Default.”
