6.2.5.1 About the HL7 plug-in
The HL7 plug-in allows you to work with orders, which you can process as you
choose. This workflow is the order workflow.
Alternatively, you can use the direct-start workflow and initiate spirometry
from your EMR system.
Supported Features
EasyOne Connect and EasyOne Pro/LAB support the following features of HL7:
• Receiving patient demographics from your EMR system
• Sending test results to your EMR system
• Working with orders
• File-based message exchange
• Message acknowledgments
• Sending discrete data
• Sending reports

6.2.5.2 About the GDT plug-in
With the GDT plug-in, you can only use the direct-start workflow and initiate
spirometry from your EMR system. The order workflow is not supported.
