6. Maintenance
6-3. Cleaning the Air Filters
Air lters are attached over the air inlet of the projector to prevent dust. The air lters should be cleaned periodically
in order to maintain projector performance.
WARNING
• Dust in air lters will hinder ventilation of the projector, lead to a rise of the internal temperature and can cause
a re or malfunction.
• Please do not use a spray containing ammable gas to remove dust attached to the lters, etc. Doing so may
result in res.
CAUTION
• Before cleaning the lter, rst turn off the power, make sure the cooling fan has completely stopped, then turn
off the AC power. Make sure the unit has cooled down completely before cleaning the lter. Removing the lter
cover while the unit is running could result in burns or electric shock from contact with internal parts.
The unit uses a two layer metal-mesh lter installed behind the lter cover. With regular cleaning it can be used
repeatedly.
When cleaning the air lter, clean it all at the same time.
