7-7-3. Installation for free tilting or portrait projecting
This projector can be set to any angle within a vertical 360° range. how-
ever, it cannot be installed with right or left slant.
If you install the projector vertically you can project screens from your
computer and other sources in portrait orientation.
• BesuretoinstallthedevicewiththesidewheretheConnectiontermi-
nals and Controls/Indicator Panel are located facing the top.
• Angletodisplayallthescreenssuchastheon-screenmenucanbe
changed by the menu [SETUP] → [MENU (2)] → [MENU ANGLE].
Precautions for the portrait insntallation
• Donotsimplysettheprojectorverticallyontheoororonatable.Theprojectormayfallover,resultingininjury,
damage, malfunction or hazardous laser radiation exposure. Also the intake vent may become blocked causing
the unit’s internal temperature to rise resulting in malfunction and risk of re.
• Forportraitinstallationtheintakeventsmustbeinstalledatthetopandbottom.Toensureairowtothebottom
intake vent, a rack to support the unit is necessary. Please hire an installation service provider (for a fee) to
make a custom portrait projection stand.
• Wheninstalledinportraitorientationtheprojectorcanbetiltedforwardorbackward
within a range of ± 10°. Tilting the projector forward or backward outside of this range, or tilting it to the left or to
the right could cause it to malfunction.
• Toensureairow,maintain60cm/23.6"ofspacebetweentheintake
vent and the installation surface.
