Using Command Mode
Command Entry
Commands are entered in combination of system data (command, first data, second data) and control
codes.

There are three modes of control code entry, as follows:
• Classic Mode : Control codes entry that are assigned to [.], [Space], [/] and other keys.
• Standard Mode : Control codes entry that are assigned to a PC’s function keys.
• Enter Mode : Control codes entry that are assigned to [Enter] key.

Displays the present control code entry mode (Classic/Standard/Enter)
and the ON/OFF states of the character mode.
• The ON/OFF states of the character mode have the following mean-
ings:
- Character mode
OFF
: Only 0 to 9 and A to F comma (,), period (.) can
be entered (a to f are automatically converted to
A to F). The control key is inoperable.
- Character mode
ON
: All data can be entered. The control code is oper-
able.
• Function key F12 is used to switch the character mode ON and OFF.
