This equipment is a nonfunctional part designed to be connected to a LDS
Series Laser Diode Sensor supplied by NEWPORT.
The equipment composed of the sensor, the connection cable and the LDS1000
electronic controller, identified with the “ mark, meets all the necessary
requirements of:
The European Directive 89/336/EEC, concerning Electro-Magnetic
Compatibility.
Generic standards
Emission: EN50081-1, “Residential, Commercial and Light Industry” stan-
dards.
Immunity: EN50082-2, “Industrial” standards.
The Low Voltage European Directive 73/23/EEC.
Applicable standards
EN 60950: “Safety of data processing equipment”.
EN 60825-1:“Safety of laser equipment radiation”.
NEWPORT shall not be liable for any damage caused by:
Modification of the product.
Connecting the sensor to the LDS1000 Controller with a modified cable, or
one not supplied by us.
Connection to additional equipment that does not comply with EC standards.
Connection to additional equipment with cables that do not comply with
EC standards.
