8. Hook the load lever under the retention tab.

Do not force the CPU into the socket. Forcing the CPU into the
socket may bend the pins and damage the CPU.
7. Close the load plate and then push the load lever down.
While closing the load plate, make sure the front edge of the load
plate slides under the retention knob.
