4. REPLACEMENT OF PARTS
4.2 Part replacement procedure
This section describes the procedure for replacing the parts and assemblies shown in the
disassembly diagram.
4.2.1 Belt unit
(1) Open the scanner unit and pull the front cover open lever to open the front cover
forward.
(3) Remove the four image drums

Note! Cover the image drums with a piece of black paper.
(2) Press the top cover open button and open the top cover.
(4) Turn the two locks (blue) of the belt unit

in the direction of the arrow, and remove
the belt unit

by holding the lever (blue).
