The sign of an E word expresses increasing or decreasing lead.

• X and Z words can be determined in the same
manner as when cutting a straight thread.
• The F word specifies the first lead employed
in starting the thread cutting cycle.

• With an E word in G33 block, variable lead
thread cutting cycle is performed along the
paths indicated in the drawing above.
• The value of an E word is used to specify the
lead variation rate per pitch.
If it is 1 mm, set "E1".
