EVIS EXERA II VIDEO SYSTEM CENTER CV-180
Irregularity description Possible cause Solution
The endoscope cannot be
connected to the video
system center.
The endoscope is not
compatible with the video
system center.
Use one of the endoscopes
shown in the “System
chart” in the Appendix.
The power fails to come on. The power switch of the
video system center is set
to OFF.
Set the power switch to
ON.
The power cord is not
connected.
Connect to a wall mains
outlet as described in
Chapter 8, “Installation and
Connection”.
The power switch of the
mobile workstation is set to
OFF.
Set the power switch to
ON.
The fuses are blown. Replace the fuses as
described in Chapter 6,
“Fuse replacement”.
The endoscopic image
does not appear on the
monitor.
The switches on the rear
and/or front of the monitor
are not set correctly.
Set them correctly by
referring to the monitor's
instruction manual.
The monitor output setting
is incorrect.
Select the “SCOPE” output
on the front panel as
described in “Image source
buttons” on page 62.
The color bar image has
been displayed.
Press the “Esc” key on the
keyboard to restore the
endoscopic image.
The “System setup” menu
appears.
Press the “Esc” key on the
keyboard to restore the
endoscopic image.
The endoscope or camera
head is not connected
correctly.
Connect the endoscope or
camera head as described
in its instruction manual.

The monitor cable is not
connected.
Connect the monitor cable
as described in Section 8.5,
“Monitor” on page 170.
The videoscope cable
