Iris mode
This operation selects the method to measure the brightness of the object of the
observation. Two iris modes, peak mode and auto mode, are available.
For details on the iris mode, see “Iris” on page 232.
1. Press the “IRIS” button on the front panel to switch between auto mode and
peak mode alternately. The indicator above the iris mode button lights up.

• The iris mode used in the last operation before the video
system center is turned OFF comes up when the instrument
is turned ON.
• The iris mode can also be controlled from the scope switches
and/or foot switches. For how to set up the scope switches
and foot switches, see “Remote switch and foot switch
(EXERA and VISERA)” on page 219.
