Automatic gain control (AGC) (“F6”)
If necessary set up the AGC function in advance. See “Auto gain control (AGC)”
on page 237.
1. The AGC function is turned ON and OFF alternately each time the “F6” key
is pressed. The AGC status, ON or OFF, is displayed on the monitor for
about 2 seconds (see Figure 5.33).

Image noise may appear when AGC is ON.
The AGC function cannot be switched ON or OFF while the
image is frozen.
The AGC function used in the last operation before turning
the instrument OFF comes up, when the instrument is turned
ON.
The AGC switching operation can also be controlled from the
scope switches and/or foot switches. For how to set up the
scope switches and foot switches, see “Remote switch and
foot switch (EXERA and VISERA)” on page 219.
